As the wattles begin to bloom and the beautiful wildflowers adorn our wild spaces with their stunning splashes of colour, this edition of “Word on the Vine” is jam-packed with gardening tips from the HinterHub, native species in season from the Nursery, project updates and trainee travels! You may have seen us on the news recently for our successful Grassroots Environmental Grant from the Queensland Government which will allow us to extend the Noosa Koala Connect Program to another three properties. We are very grateful to our partners, Noosa Council, Peppers Noosa Resort and Minister Powell and the DETSI Team for their support of this legacy program. We are also very excited to announce that we have been successful in gaining a Grassroots Environmental Grant for a new project, Marine Care – Protecting Noosa’s Marine Habitats. We are looking forward to getting it underway this month.
